We promised Alex and Ruby when we moved to Switzerland that we would take them to see the Eiffel Tower. We figured this summer would be as good as any, and so Pete took the week off and we headed to Paris. 6 hours, 2 movies, 3 leapster games, a 30 minute road detour and 1 lunch stop later we were there.

After about 2 1/2 hours of driving, we pulled over at a rest-stop to eat lunch.
One of our first views of the Eiffel Tower.
We stayed in a little hotel about a ten minute walk from the Eiffel Tower.

You'll notice the razor scooters that were brilliant at first but later turned the trip upside down.

Picnic dinner next to the Eiffel Tower for FHE

Alex: "How long would it take me to climb to the top of the Eiffel Tower?"
Ruby: "This ice cream sure is yummy!"

I can't help but notice what beautiful children you have. They are also very photogenic. By the looks of things, you are having a variety of amazing experiences. I personally LOVE the pictures with the sunflowers. The fields are amazing and what great summer photos.

These pictures are great, but I was hoping for a picture of "the Eiffel Tower". You know the real one...in Vegas, not the French imitation. Nice nonetheless. We had FHE at Ashwood Park...hmmm...not really the same, but close.

Pete, Did Ruby really take that picture or is that a self-timer? Just wondering. Glad the lip is healing and things are ok. I like my scare, builds character, and mystic. Miss you all...especially your Red Sox hat.

Dang girl! I am so glad you decided to keep a blog! We girls talk behind your back(What else could we do with out you here?) about how gorgeous all your posts are! Does Henry have tons of personality now or did Ruby steal it all? Make sure you keep track of what we should do when we come next summer!
