Geneva days

It's hard to believe that Geneva days have already come and gone. Last year we went with my best friend Allison and her husband Greg and had a great time, so we decided to do it again. One year later we are older and wiser and decided to take the train in so that we wouldn't have to battle the traffic. It was our first train ride in Switzerland (OK, not the first for Pete), and the kids were in heaven. For those of you who can't remember, Geneva days are kind of like a mini-fair with rides, games, food and booths for shopping. Like all things Swiss, it is not cheap and so the kids were limited to two rides each and one game.

This is a little bit random, but I just wanted to comment on some of the kiddie rides over here. I think it's hilarious because several of the rides are Disney themed, but they are totally ripped off and don't always tie together. For instance this rocket ride has some Disney characters like the one you see, but it also had random ones like a ladybug and a rabbit. Anyway, Ruby and Henry rode in a Buzz Lightyear rocket while Alex and Pete went on a little bit scarier ride...see below.
I'm sure you are all familiar with the swing rides they have at fairs. This one went really high in the air. If you look in this first picture you can see Ruby and Henry on the left in their Buzz Lightyear rocket while Pete and Alex are rising into the air.

Pete and Alex's view of the ride Ruby and Henry are on. I am standing right in the middle of the picture with our stroller. Too high and scary for me!
That high up they got some amazing views of Geneva
