Since arriving in Switzerland we have been warned by many that November is a cold, dreary month and that it would be a great time for a mini-vacation. We heeded the advice, loaded up the family wagon and headed to Venice. It was second on Alex's list of cities he wanted to visit (Paris was #1), and it didn't disappoint.

Alex, Ruby and Pete riding our first vaporetto into Venice Henry loved being on the boat though it was difficult to keep him from going overboard

Venice is so amazing and beautiful...just like out of a fairy tale

Although the sun was shining, you can tell by the attire that it wasn't warm outside. Temperatures were in the low 40s and when you added the wind and humidity...brrrrr.

Marge is sitting right next to me and she said, "What does she (Ruby) have on her head? A bucket?"
