
A couple of week ago we drove to Interlaken, a village at the base of the Swiss Alps, and spent two nights there. Although it rained a lot the first day, we had a great time and the kids did better than expected. I've broken this trip into several posts so that you wouldn't be overwhelmed with one super-long post.
Interlaken means "between lakes. The first lake pictured above is Lake Brienz.
The two lakes are connected by the Aare River

The second lake is Lake Thun, pictured above.
