After some quality family time in Utah, we flew to California so that Pete could work. We filled our week with appointments (including one at the dentist that involved a 2 year old, conscious sedation, a straight jacket, and screaming...you can ask me later) and time with friends. Once again, our friends offered up their home and cars to us, and although we are not nearly as tall or toned as the Maughans (see picture for proof), it was fun to take over their lives for a few days. Had they not returned home, our kids may have decided to permanently take up residence. In fact, one day the phone rang and before I could stop him, Alex answered it and preceded to say, "No, this isn't the Maughan's house, it's the Clayton's." Wishful thinking.
I wasn't too camera happy while we were there, but I chalk that up to having way too much fun to stop and take pictures. I did snap a couple of some of our favorite things including:

Awesome air time on your blog. Be sure to tell us when your next visit will be so we can plan to be out of town for part of it and turn the cool pirate key over to you guys again!
