There is a wall around Rothenberg that is just over a mile and a half around. You climb up stairs to get on the ramparts and besides the walk you get a great view of the city. We thought it was a good thing to do at 7:15am, especially since the other guests in the hotel probably wanted to sleep longer and breakfast wasn't served until 8am!

Rothenberg is famous for its Schneeballen.
They are basically pie crusts that have been packed into a ball.
You can buy them in all different flavors and we saw them everywhere.
After sampling 2 different kinds, I decided I'd rather spend my money on croissants.
