Rothenberg is in between Frankfurt and Munich and according to Rick Steves is one of the "best-preserved medieval walled towns". I wholeheartedly agree. It was so charming and we really felt like we had stepped into a storybook. The streets are all cobblestone, you have to drive through these narrow (only 1 car can fit) arches to get into the city, and there were no modern looking buildings that I came across. We loved it and although we went for the markets, it was a fun city to explore.

After checking out the markets, we took a horse and buggy ride around the city.
It was cold but we bundled up in the blankets and the kids loved it.
Alex always blinks and Ruby loves to make faces.
It usually makes for a fun picture.
